課程概述 |
5週實例分析課程引導學生看懂原文期刊文章、10週寫作訓練協助研究生籌劃研究論文報告之撰寫、3週同儕互演帶領學生實練創意及有效口頭發表之技巧與訣竅
本課程主要教授工科學生如何有效快速閱讀英文期刊文章,並透過分析期刊實例進而掌握學術文章發表及論文撰寫之技巧與策略,除寫作訓練外,本課程也提供英文口頭發表之培訓
This course will consist of two hours of lectures/class discussions and one hour group discussions/writing tasks. At the end of the semester, students should finish an individual term paper or a collaborative writing project, making use of the moves and techniques that they have learned from the course. In addition, students should be able to apply their presentation techniques to presenting their research/project. |
課程目標 |
This course will train students to learn how to critically read and write an academic journal research paper in engineering studies. The course will consist of an introduction to English academic writing and to the framework of each part of an engineering academic paper. The course will also train students to make an oral presentation of their research. |
課程要求 |
Students need to complete a variety of learning tasks (guided reading/writing practices, class/paired discussions, and individual/collaborative writing tasks) at an attempt to develop their writing skills and better understand the structural features of research papers relevant to engineering studies. |
